abstract = {We studied gender differences in gastric tumor in rats using original model of gastric adenocarcinoma and photodiagnostics with delta-aminolevulinic acid, and impedance measurements of the stomach, liver and red blood cells in rats of both genders. Highly heterogeneous gastric adenocarcinoma in rats of both genders was induced by means of a prolonged exposure to social and chemical stresses. Exogenous fluorescence mapping using 5-aminolevulinic acid / protoporphyrin IX was performed on the developed tumors, and the suspicious areas were investigated and compared with the surrounding intact tissues by electrical bio-impedancemetry techniques. The histological data revealed significant gender differences in as the number of male rats with neoplasia was higher by a factor of 1.5. Exogenous fluorescence maps were detected in gastric cancerous areas, but no gender correlation was observed. Significant gender differences were revealed when bioelectrical impedance and polarization coefficients patterns were measured. In some cases, photodiagnosis yielded a false-positive exogenous fluorescence due to dye accumulation in benign and inflammatory mucosal areas and the application of additional methods, such as impedance measurement of gastric tissues and red blood cells might prove to be a promising way of improving the diagnostic efficiency of photodiagnosis, including gender-related aspects. © 2020 National Institute of Optoelectronics. abstract = {In this paper a cost-effective combination between infrared and visible camera for thermal imaging applicable in Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) and object monitoring in smart homes is presented and demonstrated. In recent years, we have witnessed a rapid surge in assisted living technologies. Internet of Things (IoT) is a platform where every day devices become smarter, everyday processing becomes intelligent, and every day communication becomes informative. Our implementation is based on four layers IoT architecture. The user interface provides an option for manual adjustment of the image alignment from infrared and visible cameras. Apart from manual procedure, a procedure for the automatic alignment of the images of the both cameras have been developed. The time necessary for the image data processing by the microcontroller which gathers data from the sensors or by the gateway device is estimated. © 2020 IEEE.},

abstract = {Purpose: The aim of this paper is a steady-state analysis of the basic electrical characteristics of a wind farm with squirrel-cage induction generators (SCIG), integrated into a high power system. The SCIG are connected to the system by means of a step-up substation 21/115 kV, realized by cable lines. Design/methodology/approach: The analyses have been done with the help of a computer model, developed in MATLAB/Simulink. Findings: Results have been obtained, concerning the influence of the SCIG on the active and reactive power, on the power factor and the voltage deviation in the cases of only one generator operating, all generators operating and disabled generators. Practical implications: The analysis has been carried out for an operating wind farm in the power system. The obtained results are applicable for optimizing and managing the modes of operation of the wind farm. Originality/value: A mathematical model for studying the electrical parameters of an SCIG integrated into a high power system has been described. A computer model in MATLAB/Simulink has been synthesized. Numerical results have been obtained, concerning the dependence of the active power, the reactive power, the power factor and the voltage deviation on the shaft torque of the wind farms with SCIG. © 2020, Emerald Publishing Limited.},

It occupies a high level in the hierarchy of the control system. The new here is the low radio (LoRa) signal applied at field level of hierarchical industrial systems. In this way combination of low energy protocol, in fieldbus, and open platform for monitoring and data acquisition, in high information level is achieved. An advantage here is related to the low energy protocol that is applied in industrial systems. In the created project a combination of LoRa and Open Grafana is main contribution of the work. abstract = {Light emitting diodes (LED) are optical transmitters, radiating light in the visible range for plastic optical fibers and finding wide application in automation of technological processes both in industry and building automation. Optical signals are usually emitted by LEDs in the visible range by either laser diodes with lens or collimated lasers. This paper presents the results from experimental studies of a new scheme of an optical transmitter, using a LED, radiating light in the visible range. The aim of the conducted studies is to prove the possibility for transmitting numerical and analogue broad-band signals by using plastic optical fibers. Analysis of both the transient processes and the frequency properties of the transmitter have been made. An equivalent circuit of the optical transmitter, suitable for simulation studies, has been developed. The transient characteristics of the LED transmitter have been shown for operation in a pulse mode. By using an N-channel JFET to control the light emitting diode, connected in a common drain configuration, the r.m.s. value of the noise voltage at the output of the transmitter is reduced. This makes it applicable in systems for transmitting analogue data in addition to digital ones. The transmitter is compatible with the majority of data formats. It can be included as a final element in numerical interfaces for data communication through plastic optical fibers. The reliability of the transmitter in operation is increased by using a small number of elements. © 2020 IEEE.},

abstract = {The main purpose of the present paper is to study the influence of an active driver with a feedback on the voltage derivative on both the speed and the average current value when performing pulse control of a DC motor. Studies with a conventional driver have also been carried out. A comparative analysis of the obtained experimental results has been made. An analysis of the harmonic composition of the voltage applied to the motor armature when controlling the motor by both the active and the conventional driver has been made. The change in the rotational speed of the motor, as well as in the average value of the current through the armature winding as a function of the pulse duty cycle has been studied experimentally. For comparison between the two drivers, oscillograms and results in tabular form are presented. © 2020 IEEE.},

abstract = {The paper presents a method and a device for active control of power transistors, operating in a switch mode. The achieved goals are related to reduction of the dynamic energy losses when controlling the key elements. The driver circuitry limits the electromagnetic radiation, eliminates the need of using RC protection groups and increases the operational reliability of power transistors. An analytical model of the studied driver scheme has been made and results from the conducted experimental studies during the MOSFET control have been given. A comparison with a commonly used driver scheme has been drawn up. © 2020 IEEE.},
